D-Lo was the best player to watch in college imo, but he obviously didn't grow up as a Lakers fan nor seemed to be as huge on Kobe than compared to Okafor or most young prospects during the pre-draft interviews. He is an obvious millenial, but as long as he balls out, like I think he will, I don't give a shyt, even though everyone is going to misconstrue everything he says Lakers related, especially when it comes to Kobe. Anyways, no way was T-Mac ever going to be the GOAT, but when comparing Kobe & T-Mac, T-Mac was an elite crazy athlete, Kobe was in his own right, but not on McGrady's level imo. Best way to compare Kobe & T-Mac in the mid 2000s, when Kobe played, he played 100% every single game, like he would kill himself with how much energy he would put into his 30-40, while T-Mac would seem to hardly break a sweat after a game scoring 30-40 points like nothing. T-Mac was Kevin Durant before KD came to the league with how effortless his scoring was. McGrady just couldn't hold up do to injuries and he didn't have a strong work ethic. 
I remember way back the story being that T-Mac's wife saying that McGrady would spend his time playing video games in their home theater the whole summer rather than focusing on enhancing his skills/game in the offseason.
