What makes you think he would increase his value? youre just speculating. The goal was to clear cap space. Brook is an expiring contract while being better than mozgov. we just got way better. Isn't that the goal?
we just got worse. and DLO was trending upwards, no need to make this move now. rookie gm move

Look at Okafor and his decreasing value but I'm supposed to assured that dlo's value would automatically increase.

No doubt that Brooklyn only took the Mozgov contract to get Russel...but I also don't have any doubts they would have done the same thing in October or November or whenever...because they don't have a draft pick that anybody wants...and lopez was the only player they had that anybody wants...and nobody was going to trade for lopez cause he only had 1 year left on his deal and he isn't good enough to be in that "take a one year rental chance on him" group...

I'm pretty sure the lakers didn't "get what they wanted" :mjlol:...I'm pretty sure they didn't sign Mozgov to that contract in hopes of one day they could trade it and throw a way a number 2 pick:mjlol:...I'm pretty sure if you look at a lakers free agency board you won't see Brook Lopez name on it anywhere:mjlol:... I'm pretty sure if you ask anybody with any knowledge of basketball if they would rather have three years of Russel or maybe one year of Lopez I think virtually all of them are going to go with Russell...

Once upon a time the knicks "didn't procrastinate" with melo and how that turn out for them :mjlol:...Once upon a time the Thunder "didn't procrastinate" with trading Harden how that turn out for them:mjlol:

You didn't have to be so mean about it :mjcry:

You realise they're thinking the year after next, not next year and that's what made sense to them with the trade. They dumped that money and potentially have enough to sign both PG(if they get him) and another person who will remain nameless. However, that's all reliant on if they can dump off some of the other players they lost faith in.

There is alot of moving parts but if it works out, they'll be up big in 2 years

Cause I can't almost guarantee his value would've been higher. If Lonzo is the player everyone thinks he'll be, and if D'lo is actually a SG like everyone thinks he is, coupled with an injury free season plus another year in Luke's system, plus the natural growth of young players, D'lo would've 100% had a better season than this last year barfing injury. We would be been able to make a better trade than this even in a salary dump :snoop:. We just traded the 2nd overall pick from 2 years for a rental big they've been shopping around for years with no takers, the 27th pick, and a salary dump. We bought high and sold ridiculously low in just 2 years. Embarrassing trade

ATL…overly
Oh Russell is trash now? Interesting

I didn't say he was trash, I think he's decent at best. I'm amused that you see acquiring Mozgov & Russell as a "come up" for a franchise in BK that continues to punt away all their draft picks

people said the same thing about Cavs and Kevin Love. Why trade George to the Lakers when you can feast off the Celtics 8 unprotected prime picks (including a lakers unprotected pick)?
Why would Boston do that knowing he won't resign :gucci:
