Did anyone notice last year DB and CM Punk both had the same theme (turn heel w/ title) just looked at differently?

-Both eventually became arrogant upon holding a major title
-Both had especially vicious and disrespectful behavior at times (DB was from ER 2012 to Summerslam, Punk's still in this mode since feuding w/ Lawler)
-Both narrowly escaped PPVs and matches w/ title intact and continued to gloat

The main difference is how these resolved: DB's delusional arrogance was explored through comedy while Punk's fall from grace was explored dramatically.

Bryan reign was more identical to this Punk reign. With the way they both started out as babyfaces, were suspected of being heels denied it but ultimately ended up heel anyway .

I wasn't disagreeing with the OP I was at D Bry's imaginary, future, legit title run that's supposed to embarrass CM Gawd's but yeah that was a bit more similar.
