I don't think it was a work. Smackdown spoilers:
On Raw they announced Bryan vs. Ambrose for Smackdown, but it got changed to an Orton vs. Bryan rematch. Sounds like Triple H was really concerned, but then they decided to use it as a story line where they stopped the match because he's the weak link. That's the only explanation I could think of for them making such a short notice change to the main event. :manny:

:wtf: so was it a work or not?

Yeah, that was one of the really weird things about the tapings. They literally just announced Bryan/Orton at the top of the night with no mention of Bryan/Ambrose and threw The Shield on the top of Main Event. They then proceeded to have Bryan's promo be about how he interpreted Orton's hug on RAW.

It's possible that it was a shoot and Bryan suffered a minor stinger. He's fine either way, since he wrestled a full-bore match on Tuesday with Orton, so they might just be capitalizing on real heat.

Not that it really matters either way. :yeshrug:

I don't buy they had a huge altercation, but after watching the gifs someone posted showing what happened on RAW, I can believe they had a discussion. It was probably no big deal as they've made it a storyline and Bryan wasn't buried on SD!.

What I'd like to know is if cokeboy was there to see D-Bry and HHH arguing. Vince is a weird ass dude and sometimes loves when people stand up to him but who knows what's his stance in this situation :lupe:

Sounds more like something to feed the HHH/Vince story than anything else, but it also helps give DB a reason to keep proving himself. Someone soon will probably be "injured" and Vince will tell the ref to keep the match going or something.

Lets get things straight, in no way do I think this is a legit story.

But if it was and Vince did hear of it, he`d probably push Bryan further. Vince loves shyt like that, people with balls to stand up and fight for something
