Context, my friend..the offense held the ball.for 40 plus minutes.. Whats so great about it?? How does it compare to what Seattle did to Denver? Or what the Raiders did to the Redskins?? Rams were a great offense and already proven champions. They actually sacked Warner and forced turnovers. Bb masterpieces better than SB 25.

Todds defense has.been lights out. Who doesnt acknowledge that? They took over the game vs NO. But without Devin White they couldve lost to WFT. Brady.hung tough and kept his poise..they had like 6 dropped passes..2 were Td's. Complementary football..i dont care how good a defense is, if you cant capitalize, its for naught. If it was all.defense, then the 06 Ravens wouldve won a title, the 90s Steelers with Woodson, Greene(RIp) Lloyd and Kirkland would have rings also..as would the late 80's, early.90's Eagles.

As a Pats fan ima be real with you, players don't fukk with Beli. They respect him cause he's about his business, but he is damn near too ruthless. He has a history of using you and throwing you to the wolves as soon as you show any sign of regression. He even tried to do it with Brady with Jimmy G. Players know NE isn't the place to get a payday. They expect to get shipped out once it's time to open up the check.
One of the biggest reasons I've always said Tom is more impactful is essentially what Danny is alluding to. The only reason players are ok with how Beli treats them is cause they saw Brady taking it. Beli is gonna have a tough time getting a QB Tom's level to buy in. That's the thing that makes me the most nervous going forward as a Pats fan. This new generation of player isn't gonna take the shyt Tom took from Bill. Hell, Tom's generation of QB wouldn't take it
Exactly. The only reason players would come to the Patriots would be when they had a down year and wanted to either prove themselves (Randy Moss), had limited options (Cam Newton, Rodney Harrison), or wanted to win a ring (Revis, Browner, Amendola).
The culture is hardo as hell, and now that the team is as vulnerable as any (meaning the Patriot Way is a bunch of BS), why would anybody want to play for the Pats at this point? I won't get paid top dollar, the coach and his staff are a-holes, and more importantly, the team has zero young talent that can develop into a great playoff-contending team. So they have nothing that would justify the coaching culture.
That's why Belichick LOVES getting guys who have limited opportunities (again, like Cam Newton, or even guys like Patrick Chung) or guys that gush over him. Because they help keep the locker room intact to put up with his shyt.

Mike Shanahan's best QB was an old John Elway, that he had for 5 years... and he won 2 Super Bowls... imagine if he had Elway for 20 seasons like Bill had Brady... we might be calling Shanahan the GOAT... especially since he has had more success without Elway than Bill had without Brady
Classic bend-don't-break. Belichick's defensive strategy still relies too much on a) his team's offense being efficient, and b) the opposing team's offense making dumb mistake. It was only the early Pats dynasty in 01-04 where his defenses would actually shut down opponents. Outside of that, they were mostly a product of Brady and the offense averaging near 30 points a game (as the Pats offense was top 5 since 2005 I think all the way through 2018). 2019 they were good against bad opponents.
Look what happened this year when Cam turned the ball over a lot and the the offense went three-and-out. Their defense fell apart by the 3rd quarter in them! the 49ers game, the 2nd Bills game, the 2nd Dolphins game, the Rams game, etc.
Brady never got enough credit for what he did from 2005 - 2018.

Talk about context but not realize Dallas offense was even better than Bills offense and forced the Bills to try to keep pace with them. Or the fact that Giants defense was primarily bigger but slower which was a bad matchup against the Bills fast paced offense that's why Bill's scheme is considered brilliant. Or the fact that the Dallas defense which was younger and faster which matched up well vs that Bills offense.
Context
Other coaches and ex football players have come out and praised that defensive gameplan as worthy of HOF. But since a Coli poster said it doesn't deserve it's praise, I guess it's not as good as the football guys says it is
In regards to letting players go "early", let's go over some of them:
-Seymour: He was traded and the Patriots received a first round pick for him and didn't have to take up a bunch of cap space. He was still an elite player at the time, but they went with Wilfork instead.
-Law: Cut by the Patriots....had one season with the Jets before he was RELEASED by the Jets.
-Milloy: Went to Buffalo after leaving New England, and did not make another pro-bowl or all-pro team. BeliGOAT saved cap space and won two more Super Bowls over the next few years while Milloy was in Buffalo.
-Branch: Went to Seattle and never had a season like he had in New England.
-Vrabel; Moved for Cassel and a second round pick after a first-team all-pro season. Never sniffed another pro-bowl.
-Cooks was traded after one year for a first round pick while having an injury history.
I can go on and on, but not a single "L" I can find for BeliGOAT..
