He said this in his interview with Sway, that he'd be going back to his old J. Dilla/old detroit influenced sound but with some of that wild shyt also. I don't think he's trying to BE ODB but obviously there are similarities.

I just think, plain and simple ODB cannot be duplicated. He was a one of a kind human being and emcee. That's why I kinda feel meh about this joint because it's almost insulting to think you could do what he did or even emulate his style. Yea, you can have a weird voice and look like you're insane but it won't ever be like ODB. He knew what he was doing by naming the song ODB.

The guy in my avatar for one. Danny Brown's voice is cool but overall he gets monotonous cause of the subject matter and delivery. Guys like ODB and Wayne were all over the place and really stretched the limits of their voice. Danny is a better technical rapper but his songs just falls flat.

Of course he can't be ODB, there will never be another ODB, but Danny still got something though. I don't think he is trying to mimick Dirt it's just he saying he crazy like Dirt was crazy. I think some of y'all over thinking the song title. It don't sound like a Dirty track it just sounds crazy and unorthodox like Dirty was. I don't think he is actually trying to emulate ODB, They got completely different deliveries.

His delivery ain't half as nice or interesting. Danny is consciously weird on some faq hipster ish like look at him in the SD video boppin like a bytch. I do like him on features though cause a verse is just the right amount like the E40 and SD joints.
