It can be reasonably assumed that 95% of nikkas in here are already fans, and we all know Danny has been rapping on weird beats his entire career Once I heard Danny was working with hyperpop artists I knew this shyt was gonna be polarizing. That sound is not for everyone so even if you already like alt shyt Danny Brown rapping over 2000bpm chaotic computer glitch beats is gonna turn some nikkas off
Underscores is my current favorite band and I hate the song they have on this album it is what it isIronically I think Carti and the rage sound have executed hyperpop+rap elements better than what Danny is attempting on this album. I rather hear Danny on Pop Out than most of the tracks on here
Either way we can't be so reductive to act like nikkas hate some different shyt just because it's different. I think Atrocity Exhibition is a masterpiece and that album is full of weird ass dark Nickelodeon beats

I fukk with this shyt a lot. There are aspects of hyperpop that I find to be very corny/cringey, specifically the almost millennial emo shyt that gets mixed in. But overall I think this is really good. And even some of those borderline emo parts are...not bad on here.
