this Saturday night, Canelo Alvarez takes on Amir Khan on HBO. And for the second HBO show in a row, one of the major talking points of the fight is a possible Canelo vs. Gennady Golovkin superfight. That one is quickly rising to the top as THE match-up fight fans want to see, but it's not clear when, or even if, it will happen.

In the Canelo vs. Khan fight week, our friends at Fight Hub TV caught up with Danny Garcia to get his thoughts on Golovkin vs. Canelo. Here's his take:

GGG, he's knocking everybody out. He's a strong fighter... I'm just looking forward to seeing who he fights next. I'd like to see him in there with some good, competitive fights, but they don't want to get in there with him, so there's nothing he can do about it. But I'd like to see him in there with someone who could test him.

I think [Canelo vs. GGG] is a big fight that the fans want to see, but I don't think it's going to happen for one reason: Canelo's a big draw. If you're going by numbers, I think Canelo's last fight did 900,000 PPVs and GGG's did 150,000 - I heard a little less than 150,000. So if you're going by numbers, Canelo doesn't need the fight. GGG needs the fight to get his numbers up because Canelo's the bigger star. But I don't think it's going to happen because Canelo's the smaller man and I know for Golden Boy Promotions that's their big star, so why would they want to go into a fight having a disadvantage?

When asked about other possible Golovkin opponents, Garcia identifies Erislandy Lara, Daniel Jacobs, Andre Ward, and "that one dude they've been talking about, the southpaw kid."

If the problem fighting G is his low ppv sales, why fight Khan? Kirkland?

Because they went in knowing they weren't going to give orders to the bigger draw.

If Ward wasn't a big enough draw for team 97k why fight Monroe Jr? Wade? 99.98% of little g resume?

This is the problem with ggg they literally can't say shyt because they played the same exact game.

What orders did he give? Why fight Monroe and Wade? Probably because they are middleweights like Cotto and Canelo. I don't know, you tell me.

Canelo is not a middleweight and has said numerous times he isn't moving up at the moment. Cotto is a blown up welterweight but I'll rock with your logic though. Why are they calling out a retired welterweight in Mayweather then? How many middleweight fights has Floyd had??

Stop it. When you fight multiple times at a weight class, you can't claim you aren't in it. But I was wondering what are these orders you were talking about?
