You think that playing with three superstars and a bunch of vets was holding Mario Chalmers back??? He is Raymond Felton status and that fact was hidden because he was playing with Bron and Co.
he'll actually have to make decisions outside of "pass the ball to LBJ"

and Granger just had another knee surgery after having a worse year than Anthony Tolliver - he's done

certainly you are not implying that he will be worse post-LeBron when he's put up better numbers before LeBron arrived?
Rio's passing improved greatly over the last year or two and has decent/ serviceable attacking ability
he will no doubt achieve career highs in AST and PPG this season

if rio was so great, then why did he get benched in the finals for a guy who averaged 6 points a game?

lol at this cop out response
I can bring a number of postseason games/ moments where Mario has shined
and I never said he was "great"

that's not a copout at all. great could mean average NBA starter. but he ain't even that. he's not even a good defender - bosh being the best PnR defending big in the league is what kept his ankles intact

how you supposed to be on the cusp of a breakout season when you can't separate yourself from norris cole (and this was going on for years too, i was just hitting the finals as the biggest example)? if he was anything but the christian ponder of the NBA, then his team wouldn't have traded up to draft his replacement just a few months ago

Rio is not a good 1 on 1 defender, no but he plays well when it comes to Miami's defensive schemes, look at some of these point guards numbers last year against Miami. Mario chalmers shared his responsibilities with LeBron the last four years while Norris doesn't have to do that with anyone because he's not asked to "run the offense" or "distribute". "can't separate yourself from norris cole" ? the numbers speak for themselves on this one, Rio is a clearly better than Norris Cole. It's obvious Rio and LeBron never really saw eye to eye and the Heat were doing everything they can to keep LeBron:

Miami would drop rio in heart beat if meant Lebron stays, so don't act like Miami traded up for Bazz because they gave up on Chalmers in general. How is 10 PPG/ 5 AST/ 3 REB/ 2 STLS
not a decent starter for someone who is not the 1st, 2nd, 3rd best player on his team?
