Oregon is not elite

Michigan is a blue blood, but sans last season they’re not elite in the current CFB landscape. But Michigan is more elite than Oregon even with the past 20 years of underachieving

I’m not throwing elite label on any program that hasn’t won a title in the playoff era
I wish you all would stop with Oregon isn’t elite, they convince good talent to go all the way to the Pacific Northwest, they win their conference, they have been to the playoffs and have been in two national championship games

Why do you say that

What makes you think that ? Why would any kid go to a losing program who’s not committed to football, degree would be beastly but that’s not his focus

Name a coach that has built up qbs that weren’t generationally good, or damn near that level of good ?? It’s so relative, when speaking to how good a coach and qb are nikkas just recruiting and hoping

Harbaugh ain’t have shyt to do with him flipping money talks we not paying

We’d have to get our money up

Oregon has won 2 pac chips, and since 2010 has been to 2 national championship games been in the playoffs, and has been to several Ny 6 games what are we saying here

Brady was different
Joe would be good regardless of where he went, lsu didn’t groom him into being better

Doubt that

It’s always a crap shoot with QBs I agree with you. Harbaugh has the reputation of being a QB guru, but off top I don’t think Any of his QBs have been drafted. He’s had 5*s and high 4* players too. There aren’t any coaches that are pumping out nfl QBs, but there aren’t any CFB coaches that are so called QB whisperers/gurus other than Harbaugh.

I think Harbaugh is a solid to great coach. I think there are lots of times where he’s underachieved and attention whored, but nonetheless he can coach

Clearly.

2010-2021 the records between the two schools aren't THAT different. Stanford is definitely down. Oregon isn't competing for National Title anytime soon. So, even if they have won more games it doesn't matter. If you're that dude at QB you'll get your shot in the league.

Don’t get the argument that Stanford is a losing program but Oregon is some bastion of success. Unless his family being subsidized by Nike makes Oregon elite is your argument. Which I guess I can't argue with.

If his grades weren’t good enough they weren’t enough. :manny:
His grades are not an issue, if you are 18 and have decent rating, Stanford is not your first choice, if that was the case then more kids would go, and as good as the degree is from Stanford, a general studies or mass communication don’t hold all the weight, business yes,

2010 Oregon won the pac 12
2011 Oregon won the pac 12
2012 Oregon shared pac north, 21-1 fiesta bowl
13 Stanford
14 Oregon
15 Stanford
19-20 Oregon
21 Oregon was in the pac chip

Oregon has been in two national chip games and the playoffs, Stanford hasn’t

Depends on the kid.

I'm just not buying that going to Oregon at QB puts you in a significantly better position than going to Stanford. It's not like Oregon is Alabama, Texas, Ohio State, Michigan, etc. in terms of prestige. THey're not on that level. He wins the Heisman and leads Oregon to a natty I'll be the first to eat my words.

You don’t have to buy it Stanford is not known as a football powerhouse even in it’s good years, and good qbs usually don’t come from power 5 programs until tua alabama never had a qb that you could hang your hat on in the modern era (we not talking the snake or Willie Joe)
Michigan had griese and Tom, and as good as Tom was he simply had that dog in him, Texas ain’t produced a qb worth a damn

Oregon is a destination job, and kids recognize the brand
