Well he getting paid and has a chance to go #1 if he balls out again. And it might be a good career move for his development. Going to a poor franchise like the jets can end your career before it started.

Yeah the pros is more, but let's say he plays 10 years either way.

That 4-6 mil adds to the pot in the long run.

The play for A LOT of Athletes is to exhaust ALL NIL years THEN go get money in the pros.

Some may not agree but that what they are being advised to do

(the ones that will be picking top 3 in the next draft) and tell me which team is set up for success more than the Jets.

Not to mention, one bad injury, and its curtains. And it aint like Dante's a big dude. He's damn near the same size as Zack Wilson. So injuries are a huge possibility with him.
