Dantoni would have the warriors scoring 150 per game

Ok, and? They turn the ball over way too much and they shoot jumpers all game. You can't expect defense to bail you out when defensively you're not that great to begin with, and your offensive system is just standing around spotting up while one guy runs pick and rolls flinging up shots and throwing up floaters. Iggy is a good defender, but he has very little impact on the game aside from that. They just have to make do with what they have. I'm not saying they have to throw the idea of a defensive philosophy in the bushes, but they should ALWAYS put way more emphasis on their offense because that's what wins them games. They're too small to play halfcourt ball with teams. Look at what the Clippers did to close them out. Fed their bigs and exploited their lack of size and Warriors were helpless to do anything. David Lee looked like a toddler trying to guard Deandre.

Boguts fakkit ass is always going to be hurt when it matters so they're going to be stuck playing small ball eventually. Might as well get the GOAT small ball offensive mind either as an assistant or head coach because Mark Jackson saying hail marys and trying to summon Christ in huddles isn't going to cut it

the part about dantoni that i dont respect is he has a system that needs certain personel ........why would he accept lakers and knicks gig when its clear they had no interest in implementing his 7 second or less system........GS is his best chance at it though. its an intruiging thought

the warriors have the perfect players for Antonis system, heck even fakkit ass david lee would start beasting again.

I agree they need better defense, but they can still get a lot better offensively, and a lot of that comes from coaching. Barnes is an instant offensive upgrade over Iggy. Let him grow so they have another scorer. Some of it is personnel movement. They miss Carl Landry and Jarrett Jack a lot.

I thought the Warriors were deeper last year, and I thought they were more offensively potent.

I can't prove it, but i have a feeling Mike Mallone being absent has a little to do with some of their issues this season.

All their offense needs is a post threat. Depth and especially that veteran hand at PG would certainly help. It comes back to defense if you are really trying to take that next step.

they are ridiculous when they play small ball breh, if dantoni can make nick young a guy who actually get doubled in games imagine what he can do with this roster.

Maybe M-Jax can ask Christ to grant them serenity from turnovers as well

I can't front, the Warriors have the ideal roster for a D'antoni coached team. If the owners want to maximize the team's offensive potential, he would make sense, but he hasn't proved that he can take a team to a title, so if it's really about winning championships I'm not sure if they would be sold on hiring him.

Jackson at least has them playing some kind of defense. You can throw that shyt in the bushes if they get D'antoni though

Would they be any better overall though? Scoring more is only a big deal when scoring is something you are missing. They score just fine now. They need to address other areas if they want to improve.

Couldn't hurt. :ehh:

If D'Antoni receives another shot after this latest debacle, then I give up. George Karl at least got to an NBA Finals and beat one of the best teams in league history twice. D'Antoni is getting attention because of an extremely flawed philosophy that led him to two consecutive WCF.
