That's different, breh. Sony owns the full live-action rights to Spider-Man (film and TV). So Spider-Man can't appear in any official live-action material without Sony's approval.

When it comes to Spider-Man animated shows, Disney/Marvel owns those rights. So Spider-Man can appear in Disney/Marvel cartoons (as long as the episodes are under 44 minutes).

No, we're not ignoring it. You're right, studio politics (and the super gritty nature of this show) means we are just not getting Spider-Man in this show. Period. You're right.

BUT, it's STILL a glaring plothole that NYC is basically a failed state and webhead is nowhere to be found.

HBO's Penguin had this same problem. Oz was able to start a civil war in the Falcone family that was getting people killed with bombs going off..yet we never saw the Bat, despite that being the type of shyt that would instantly grab his attention.

Is this show in the MCU timeline or the Netflix timeline? If it's a continuation of the Netflix show, then it makes sense why Spiderman isn't there.

i know Matt showed up in No Way Home, but i leave this season thinking these characters don't fit with the movie characters at all. it still looks different, feels different, just IS different. curious to see how they skirt around Fisk being Mayor in shyt like Spider-man and Strange, etc, b/c he seems way too low level to go toe to toe with them. i can't see his puny ass on the big screen grunting about Vanessa, etc
