Yep, he was completely defenseless at that point. Better than what the show decided to do

nikka…the show ain’t over. We’re three episodes into the season. They could very much still go in that direction and put the pressure on Matt.
DUDE ITS A TEAM FULL
OF DIRTY PUNISHER COPS.
IM NOT TALKING ABOUT
REPORT THE INCIDENT TO THE NYPD
THEYRE SUPPOSED TO DO
MATT THE SAME WAY THEY DID TIGER
Matt did get homie killed
Bro was getting packed up regardlessHe was gonna spend the rest of his life in prison (where he was getting his ass beat) otherwise. He could have just stopped crime fighting
Exactly, it just didn’t add up. Would’ve made more sense if they lured him into a dead end and threw a grenade or something. Idk just something more complex than he didn’t look around the corner.
Episode 3 and people already shytting on it smh, we don’t deserve this show
I can see that. Fresh out of jail feeling vindicated also battling with whether he should still be there out there so he wasn’t as focused as normal. It didn’t translate that well on screen but I can see where you’re coming from. Idk if you ever watched Supernatural but it’s kind of like how Dean ended up getting killed by a random monster after all the battles they had been through. Nothing special about it. Just got caught slippin.I looked at it as breh just got caught slippin emotionally/off his square due to the case and etc. Mentally he wasnt there yet to be out there/was overcomplicated trying to get back into action.
Yep!! that's a good example. Meant to say overcompensating in my post as well, had to edit that/phone is trippinI can see that. Agreed, Which leads me to believe its actually theYeah, that was my only issue. It's like this is a dude that has been a vigilante for years, so you assume is smart, and just beat a very public case where no doubt he created enemies from. If he was going to go out again as WT, it should strictly be an in the shadows thing as much as possible with head constantly on swivel. I would have preferred if he got trapped up. That is, he went to where he thought trouble was and there were like 5 dudes waiting for him. After a battle where he manages to take most out, one of them barely is able to kill him. But going out like that was really anticlimactic and not befitting of his character imo. Other that that really enjoyed the episode. Hopefully his daughter or niece become the new WT as in the comics.
