When Matt took that bullet for Fisk I thought Fisk was gonna do what he did in the comics.
Fisk made Matt deputy mayor. It was a way to clean up Fisk's public image (making the lawyer of the people, Matt Murdoch, his deputy mayor.) while also keeping Matt from investing Fisk's activities by keeping Matt busy doing mundane government stuff.
