Pretty ridiculous price tag but I stopped applying logic to Bautista a couple years ago. Pretty much expect him to be borderline elite for the next 3 or 4 years

Its not that ridiculous tho....Look at what Justin Upton and Jason Heyward got...Just go by last years numbers.
He has every right to ask for that...If Heyward is getting 22 he should ask for 30...
I believe he will still be hitting 30 Hrs at 39-40...
Yeah my post wasnt really worded right. I just meant it's a lot of money for an older dude but I also expect him to still be crushing it 5 years from now based on how he keeps defying expectations over and over and over. The dude was disgustingly clutch at the plate last postseason, feels like no one remembers the dinger he crushed in the last game (prob because they ended up losing).

Heyward got 184 over 8 years,yes hes 26 but hes done nothing in 5 years in the majors...Hes coming off a 13 hr season and got 23 mil a season.
Bautista has been a a consistent all star with defense last 5 years,coming off a 40 HR season and he did so relatively under paid looking back at that deal...Not Shapiro's fault but i get why hes asking for 30,based on the market you cant say thats not what his value is based on his peers...
