i never really thought about it until i started getting but ill tell you this: reading on dark mode has resulted in significantly less headaches.

you can force every site to use dark mode if you go to chrome://flags and search "dark" and select 'selective inversion of non image based elements'

that was before you could force global dark style

the fact that thecolis default theme looks so good inverted kinda shocks me

and it seems silly to use an addon for a simple flag in settings. i use global dark mode everywhere. it even works on facebook.

*Most sites. I can't force Google docs to dark mode no matter how hard I try. It turns the edges dark but the actual document area stays white.
