The true form Darkseid ish isn't even relevant, since that completely contradicts his other relationships like his fear of Yuga Khan(his father), or the Promethean Giants, who were greater than the New Gods.
And whoever's said Darkseid is the embodiment of evil is wrong as well.
He's the embodiment of fascism, and hopelessness.
Beerus would probably physically wash Darkseid, and his Omega effect would be useless, since Beerus has a divine/cosmic function.
Anybody talking about true form Darkseid has as much honesty as someone bringing up Doombots.
It's a cheap win button that doesn't really have any relevance in the most consistent depictions of the characters.

How does his logical fear of his father dimiss any of the shyt that happened in FC or anything Post Flashpoint? It happened, just because you don't like it doesn't make it irrelevant .

Beerus at best is a high level skyfather. He's below someone like Marvel's Odin who has much better feats than Beerus.

Because it contradicts the majority of Darkseid history and appearances?
That's like using the Hulks superspeed that he showed under Waid as the norm, when mostly he's a big, strong slowish brute.
Darkseid is normally a next level strong, durable godite who has the omega effect as his trump card.
Him being a multiversal abstract was never the norm, and is a heightened showing, similar to Rune King Thor or Worldbreaker Hulk.
The New Gods are larger than life concepts, even under Kirby but they also weren't highest end abstracts, aka Eternity or the Living Tribunal.
Arguing as if they always were, is intellectually dishonest.

Dan Jurgens only built on the continuity established by John Bryne Post Crisis, and if I recall correctly, Great Darkness Saga wasn't even in the Pre Crisis Continuity. Yeah, I know that the Crisis wasn't supposed to affect the Fourth World, but that was obviously bullshyt.
Honestly, not even Kirby wrote them as abstract metaphysical beings, just super powered beings that existed outside of the main DC Universe.
And to answer your rhetorical question, the number of appearances where Darkseid was written as a physical being who rules a world in another dimension that can be accessed with a super computer greatly outnumber those where he is a metaphysical being whose mere presence causes the multiverse to decay. The latter is a cool concept, but it ain't the norm.
"deities" in DB arent really gods persey like they are some unbeatable hard to kill beings or stuff like that. So this is not that impressive.
Outside of Gods of destruction(which arent really Gods, or even a race. Its just a title), they are practically like any other being. They can be killed, and are not really strong.
Only thing they got going is that they have Ki/Chi that can help be the basis of life for planets.
"gods" in db are not omnipotent, far from it. Even Zenoh is not, hes just a being that can delete a universe. But he has no combat abiliy
