Houston to LA like I'm Robert Horry.
Ugh.....

I know Colorism exist, but this agenda Oprah is trying to push is just getting annoying now.

At some point you have to take it upon yourself as an individual whether or not to be affected by others views on skin color.

I get so tired of the victim role. "I'm getting passed up because I'm darkskin, I'm getting passed up because I'm lightskin, I'm not even seen because I'm brownskin."

The narrative just gets tiring and annoying after awhile. I'm sure every now and then lightskin girls are discriminated against, but for every time they are, a darkskin girl has already been discriminated 10 times in that same span. This is silly, yes you got screwed over once, but I'm sure just by being lightskin you've gotten some upper handed advantages that you may or may not have been aware of (similar to white privilege).

Please raise your daughter brehs so they don't fall into this vapid BS. Our women get too tied up into this and like I said the narrative is just annoying after a certain point.

It's all subjective tho. Some people have a narrow definition of lightskin, where it's only lightest and brightest who can claim the title. Others, like myself, are more generous with the term lightskin.

Then you have the brown girls who false claim light skin, and the borderline ones who reject being labeled as lightskin.

At the end of the day, if you know you're black, it's not really important. We all gotta deal with the bullshyt that comes with that.

For real lol. I just wanna see what other issues they have other than "dark skin girls are jealous" and " black men just want me cause I'm light skint".
Light skin is the new white.lol This is why you seeing them in all kind of videos and media outlets.Keysha Cole has rejected her blackness. Zoe Zaldana hasrejected it . And yours truly, Raven Symone has pretty much rejected her black card.Which is why she shouldn't be in this documentary/TV Special.

But let me be real,I think shows like this are just going to set people back because they are going to go back and forth. I bet you most of the viewers are white, whites love to see shows like this were blacks are so color struck.

Let me be quick with it, if they don't pass the paper bag tests they are not light, and if they don't get a red when they smacked ,they not light skin.

Did this dude say the dark skin girls have coarse hair and full lips,we not going to act like some light skin girls don't have that. Did Keke Palmer @ 1:38 describe herself as light skin, lol year right. My thing is,why are people still entertaining these shows, when they are supposed to be entertained by these shows. To me this kind of shyt keeps black people stuck in this colorism syndrome.

I think blacks need to get over this shyt.

Breh............are you retarded :dwillhuh:

He said when light skin girls don't get the part they say it's because they don't look black enough and when light skin girls don't get the part they say it's cause of their hair and lips.

And I don't think these shows are to be entertaining, they're supposed to start a dialouge. Black people need to talk about this shyt instead of putting our heads in the sand and pretending it doesn't exist. Colorism, white supremacy's stepchild, is a real thing. And I would imagine very few black people in this country has ever sat down and had these types of conversations growing up.

My brother is real dark, my other brother is light, and I'm in the middle. We never had these conversations growing up even though as a kid I'd say how people treated my dark skin brother differently, but at the same time my lighter brother still got the same nikka treatment when dealing with cacs.

He said Dark skin girls don't get it .And he implied that having dark skin meant you had coarse hair and full lips.Which is not true.:dahell: Nothing retarded about what I said get it straight. Don't really know why he said light skin girls don't get it but they are certain shows that have propensity to type cast for dark skin chicks. Lisa Raye even vouched for this. But who knows. I will tell you they are hella yella mixed broads playing the roles as sisters, daughters and aunts in families on black sitcomes ,movies, shows etc.

This is not going to start a dialogue with anything, this has been in movies like School Daze Good Hair Bad Hair,,and TV shows like Roots shows have portrayed colorisms and mistreatment of blacks . nikkas have to wake up themselves and get over their color issues.

Alright let's not at like you can't pick out any black show/man where all the women are lighter than the men in couples. Let's act like it's common to see an all darkskin cast. Act like it's common for

darkskin women to get lead rolls over their lightskin counter parts FOH.

No colorism, no need to start infighting :whoa: but let's not get carried away so easily lightskineded brehettes
