Never listened to Sotomayor and I don't hear his name until I log on here where hilariously, the people who supposedly hate him and his message the most, can't stop talking about him or creating threads with his name in the title.
I listen to Tariq when a topic is being discussed that piques my interest, and his dialogue on race relations concerning AA is refreshing and actually relevant if you're black in this country. He gets just as many women to call up and discuss the topics as males, so I'm not seeing the correlation of being fatherless as it pertains to him in particular. Perhaps that was aimed more so at the males who sought guidance from him as far as "macking," goes. Never thought about it but if someone hasn't had anyone to tell them how it goes and they believe in Tariq in that particular subject as if he's "Hitch," more power to them.

I don't "look up" to any man besides my father. But I mess with Tariq's material because he talks about subjects that interest me and he gives very good perspectives on said subjects.
