It's because neither Gary Williams nor Ralph Friedgen had much interest in the home talent for some strange reason. This caused other schools like Illinois and Penn State [football] to sap all our resources. They're just now starting the "Movement" thing to try and fix all the damage that was done. UMD bball is headed in the right direction. Hiring Edsall set the football team back another decade, word is he's getting fired after the Ohio State game this weekend, this is after they gave him an extension this summer

Gary gets a pass because he actually won a ring and it wasn't that he wasn't interested in home talent, he just had bad relationships with the AAU coaches because he didn't want to play the game like everyone else did.
The football team really needs to think long and hard for this next hire because it'll make or break everything they have going. I say they back that brink's truck to Jim Tressell or Chip Kelly's doorstep.

Nah i went to High Point in PG, but i literally lived right next to Mo County, so i knew a lot of folks that went to Paint Branch, Springbrook, Blair and Einstein.

I just noticed on the last play in this vid Dockett tackled his own teammate to get to the ball carrier. Poor b*stard got the Goldberg spear from hell right in the back.
High Point was straight up one of the worst schools ive ever stepped in.....my soccer league played in there field earlier this summer and from what i see aint a damn thing change
but yea i went to northwestern my frshmn year and blair the rest, both schools always had the best athletes due to the unique places it was in, but a lot of very good players slipping to private schools or end up leaving or ended up the product of shytty unorganized coaching smh.......
my cuzzo was good friends with dock in HS and college.....said he was one of those cats that could of thrived in any sport he wanted too cause of his elite athlete ability and killer competitive nature and work ethic....he was a damn good bball player as well
