If I'm making a sauce from scratch, I add a couple of teaspoons to balance out the acidity of the tomatoes. But I’ve recently learned baking soda can also be used.

No way that shyt would taste like pure sugar. I’m limiting my sugar intake but I have a friend in thailand who is a diabetic (off needles) and he swears that he could eat sugar cane with no problems.

Sugar is basically sugarcane so I don’t see how that would make a huge difference.

I think processed white sugar removes all of the metabolic benefits you would get from real sugar cane, but that’s just my opinion
