some of them beats that was used for all eyez on me was originally for tha doggfather album:ohhh:

Quite a few of the beats on AEOM were initially intended for other artists/projects. I think "2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted" was supposed to be for Dru Down.

Daz shoulda been a bigger producer but just being real...Pac's death put ALOT of careers on hold :francis:

The problem with Daz is that after he left Death Row he never invested in a high quality studio or musicians, so his overall quality just dropped. Releasing multiple project on a yearly basis doesn't help either. I also think his best music was produced when he was associated with other producers (Mike Dean, Soopafly, Dre). For example, "I Ain't Mad At Cha" was produced by him AND Soopafly (who was pretty much always helping by playing keys or generally co/ghost-producing), so was "Ambitionz Az a Ridah" and "2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted". Snoop has also said Dre was producing on Dogg Food, Soopafly too. Then you have Mike Dean co-producing literally every track on Dillinger & Gott. The list could probably go on and on.... It seems like Daz would lay out the foundation/structure then others would help make it into a final product.

Nah he wasn't a protege he WAS the producer

He did both Doggystyle and Chronic along with Colin Wofie(he did chronic ) and Erotic D

Dre was the mixer / master and added a few touches

that is Daz's fault, he had plenty of doors open after Pac's death. Notice how Kurupt kept going...and obviously Snoop did.
