Aww  we need to treat each other with more respect so we dont have to be so distrustful of one another.

Its a person bro....all people can be different

Trash ass neoliberalism. Culture affects perspective and that doesn’t have to impede on one’s individuality, but it can never be separated from it.

The human experience is pretty uniform, but how and why it happens changes thru time and space. So where and when u were born compared to others matters.

All caribbeans arent the same. And did she grow up here or in the islands?
If she grew up here she's likely to be americanized as fukk which is typically :scusthov:
I love Caribbean women.:ohlawd: I love (and mostly date) black american women. :noah: However I cant stand americanized caribbean women:ufdup:
So you gotta have all this information to get an idea of what you may be dealing with. @skeetsinternal can give you some pointers too.
My take:
  • Haitian: Sweet, supportive, domesticated ...but like Chris Brown said..."aint loyal" and by that i mean they wont cheat but they'll drop you at the drop of a hat. shyt cuts deeps :why: I'm haitian BTW
  • Jamaican: The ultimate sweet and spicy types but more spicy. They are stunt artists to the NTH degree for the most part. Can be a bit brash. They talk shyt at first but once you get close you see their sweet side
  • Trinidad: Jamaican-like to some extent but more on the sweet side and down to earth.
  • US Virgin islands: They are very americanized for the most part so they and I dont always do well. Sweet women, tho.
  • Guyanese: Wanna be treated like a freakin king? Get you a Guyanese woman. You'll remember this quote. Trust me.
  • Cuban: See Jamaicann...but the latina and black latina version
  • Bahamian: Havent had enough of a sample size in bahamians. But they are less-americanized than V.I. but still americanized. The ones i fukked with were cool.
  • Dominicans: They are fukked up in the head in a way. While some are cool, the c00nish reputation is real among some. The ones i fukked with were down. It's theirs friends that are fukked up

Enjoyable read.

Individualism, which is born out of post structuralism is the most armchair u can get.

Derrida, Foucault and em only got that shyt poppin to make fakkitry seem like some transcendent idea.

Look at the term “post structuralism,” implying we’re in an age that is beyond structure.

Structure comes from remembering the past and applying it to the present and future.

The only culture america has is from black americans, and individualism/post-structuralism is born out of the most amazing ppl in the world not remembering who they are.

So if they can be great without the structures of the past such as language, then why can’t fakkits and everybody else do the same?

They can’t because structure is innate and not aleatory. “Tho my language is dead, the shapes fill my head.”

Those shapes are psychological and have less to do with skin color and more to do with culture.

If I go outside, what am i gonna see? I’m gonna see neighborhoods segregated on purpose because that’s what ppl prefer even when they mix and marry outside.

I’m going to see block parties in bedstuy and whatever them cacs do on the 4th in forest hills.

If I want to see individuality, i’d have to pull one person from their environment and have a deep conversation with them in order to get past all the cultural things that define them. That’s literally some armchair shyt.
