Crazy because season 2 of the hulu show foreshadowed this happening if u read between the lines of those scenes with odb lashing out against rza to dikkride labels...
This seems to be the estate not paying other people who claim that they should be included in the estate.

They seem to be wanting more than the 500k they were owed in child support from the estate, not the labels nor Rza.

Other than that, dude was a grown ass man who had worked in the music industry for over a decade, had 13 kids and didn't set them up. The lack of accountability people demand from rappers and athletes is hilarious.

If breh ain’t have a will and your moms weren't his wives, after child suppor, there’s no legal obligation to pass money to them. It’s all on up to his wife or executor

The wife is the executor of the estate and from the article it seems like the other illegitimate kids were set up as heirs to get half of the income the estate generates.

Wu-Tang is still a viable brand. Their big overseas and tour several times a year plus the Hulu series and I remember in the past two years alone Dirt’s singles have been used in commercials. I’m not saying that all equals up the gazillions of dollars but there’s certainly SOME kind of residuals being put in that pot.

RZA gonna get blamed for this somehow :francis:

Its funny because the article mentions several times that his widow and attorney are the executors of his estate. RZA literally NOTHING to do with how that money gets dispersed. RZA’s not be blamed for this

I bet the mother and the widow have always had a beef. This right here is the problem.

I guarantee if they were all civil this would not be an issue.

This sucks. Based on vids I’ve seen of ODB he didn’t seem like he had his affairs in order.

Aren’t him RZA and GZA related? I wander if it’s something they could’ve helped worked out. ODB Jr seems to be doing well for himself though

Yea, absolutely but it seems anytime anything Wu related where someone is owed money RZA's name unfairly (well...most of the time unfairly) comes up.

Their all first cousins. GZA, RZA and ODB.

Neither GZA nor RZA can help out with the finances because they are not executors or beneficiaries of ODB’s estate. The estate is “owned” by his widow and according to the article ODB’s lawyer has some form of authority or say as well. The only thing RZA can do is make sure that Wu-Tang Productions pays its legally fair share of royalties and residuals to ODB’s estate. After that its in the hands of ODB’s lawfully wedded wife
