:dahell: i think that would be news to a lot of people
No it's not. It's called compound interest and work ethic.

Even without interest or investments, if you had saved $500 a month for 35 years, you would have $200,000 by the end of it. This also ignores income growth as you get older, where you're saving rate grows as your income does.

And it's arguably easier for them to do this as Hispanics because a lot of their costs of life are reduced by economy of scale. When there are six or eight adults living in one house, buying food in bulk, and pooling their collective emergency funds as a group safety net, you have a lot more left over at the end of the month.

Unless you were hit by a bus or got cancer, this 200k number is the bare minimum you should be accomplishing in 35 years of working.

If she was illegal the whole time, she likely didn't pay into the system, or not the proper share, but she's anchored a bunch of people to take resources, jobs, etc. from people who have been here for centuries. Damn that.

Birth rates are low because the average person can't afford to live comfortably. Fix that, partially by not having illegals to abuse, and the problem will fix itself. Make men profitably employed and sufficient, women will want to have families.

Excellent. Get out there and be a farm hand. It's your time now friend. All the opportunity that wasn't afforded to you is here now.

Yes as the globe dumbs the American dollar and stops investing in it you will definitely see a rise back to the good old days. And people will make a living off one income and women will be pregnant all the time :laff:

It's amazing how conservatives all want to live out the hand maids tale. :laff:

That tells me all your frustrations stem from being an incel

36 years and couldn’t find a way to do things legally
36 years just chillin celebrating birthdays. Let my black ass go there for 36 years ducking 50:comeon:
I don't think the timeline ever lined up for them to fix it. One of the things Congress has been unable to do since the Clinton administration is to create a pathway for them to do this.

As it stands now, they often have to return first before attempting to normalize their status if they overstay or enter illegally . which is obviously a no-go since they may not be able to return.

Another issue was the backlog due to a shortage of immigration judges , and USCIS office staff. I was reading an NPR article a few months ago stating that the wait for a lot of immigration services is a decade. So if you happen to have a very sympathetic administration like the Obama admin, Even if you started the normalization process at the beginning of their term, you could never finish it before a Republican like Trump undid those changes. Some of the daca people experienced this first hand.

Mexico has a higher purchasing power parity than Spain, Korea, Canada, and Egypt.

Mexico has the second highest GDP in Latin America.

Mexico also lower unemployment than several countries in the region

And in latin America the fastest growing country is Guyana

Living in mexico is not a death sentence. People who've traveled to Mexico know that it has poor parts and rich parts. It's not a small impoverished hellhole. Republicans want to paint the country that way while at the same time telling peoole they need to go back to Mexico. It makes no fukking sense unless your entire personality boils down to "i want to hurt people who are different from me because it makes me feel good"

It's purely about cruelty. If they want people to go back to Mexico, the plan is extremely simple: tell the truth about latin america, offer to build things down there and invest in latin America. The people who might have gone to america will just make moves laterally within latin america.

That’s where the issue lies. She obviously can return bc she’s doing this without force.
It’s just inconvenient. I understand her pain but it’s the law.

The Truth
Smart

Like @CopiousX said, she did her job and basically going home. Probably got family they’ve been sending money to for decades, living very well off probably.

Family here most likely still will send money, pay her bills, provide, etc. she’ll be alright… its just Tijuana anyway :mjlol:
