Nah not necessarily, because GOTG is like one of their least known properties. Only diehard fans would know of the GOTG property. Marvel took a HUGE gamble with putting them on before other more recognizable characters such as Black Panther, Ms. Marvel, etc.,

It was a gamble, but not a huge one. You think studios don't do tests and surveys and research and shyt before they release a movie? You don't make 800 mil worldwide and have it be a complete surprise to the studio. It was a near 100% guarantee that the movie would double its budget during its run

Unfortunately I can believe this stuff with Vince. I worked at comic shop owned by a dude who never saw star wars.:francis:
