The current landscape screws over indie artists and niche genres. It also suppresses musical diversity, which has already suffered since the Telecommunications Act of 1996.

Didn't Hollywood writers and actors just have a strike to change terms since the 2008 strike which basically introduced how revenue sharing in the digital age would work? Why are musicians sitting on their asses still?

I think other major artists are locked in bad contracts that they didn’t know about. Ross was just talking about 50 and not owning his first album masters. I don’t know how accurate he is but for him to say something about it makes everyone wonder if he’s right or not. He spoke about it so freely.

I would say 50 met his match but this is a one sided ass beef even with Dave flaming him up. It's just hard to beef with a nikka like that because look at him, listen to his music, Google him.

Same with Ross to an extent with him still carrying on the persona after the C.O. situation. Hard to shame somebody that doesn't really care about it

I’m not sure, he was indie but I’m not sure of anything involved with his past catalog. He’s still connected to Em, Dre & Iovine with him getting that Hollywood star.
