Kevin Hart be on that no phones tip too. Last time we went to his show it was more entertaining to see people get tossed out and fight with security over the phones than it was to listen to Kevin.

Kevin Hart said he's serious about that because it ruins the jokes for the next show if it's on YouTube. He wants it to be fresh for the next audience.

I think that should be respected. Before the social media generation comedians could try out new materials without fear. Now the whole thing ends up on youtube within the hour.

They are hella strict about the no phones. He must be trying out brand new material. That's usually why they do that. Doesn't want his act to end up on YouTube an hour after the show.
Youtube, twitter, facebook, everyone is going to get the latest jokes streamed live with smartphones. Actually, the quality is so bad. I saw a smartphone video clip of a Taylor Swift concert. Audio was garbage and video was blurry. On youtube, there are concerts taped and you can hear people in the audience talking or singing along louder than from the concert speakers.
I don't know how they are going to enforce that though. You want to put on an entertaining act, but does everyone want to wait for some security guys and ushers to remove every dude who is recording the act?

Kevin isn't funny anymore. His time is up. He had a good run though. I wonder who the next popular comedian will be.
