Dave Chappelle walks off stage in Hartford.

Shows are one of the only things I spend money on as far as entertainment. Right, wrong, or indifferent I wouldn't go to see him, for the same reason I skipped DMX and Whitney Houston: I don't play about my time or my money. A particular show might be the only thing I do to treat myself in a 6 month period, I can't afford for anyone to be walking off, being hours late, or not showing up...no matter how much I like them.

Man Dave Chappelle is a real dude and I'm jut gonna say it. He REFUSES to c00n and I respect the absolute hell out of him for that. Just because you "pay" to see him means you can heckle him? He's there to perform a show, not be harassed. Why would you even pay money to go heckle someone? I'm sure that those that weren't heckling were upset that he didn't continue performing, and I think it's fair that refunds be issued. But fukk the dumb shyt Dave Chapelle as a comic has done more than enough to earn the respect of the paying audience to not be shouting dumb shyt at him while he's giving you what you paid for, a goddamn show. So fukk the cacs and salute to Chappelle for once again standing his fukking ground

I went to see him last night, and he addressed about the hartford shyt throughout the set. he basically said that they were a$$holes out there and if north korea launched nuclear weapons, it should be at hartford. he also said he'd never perform there again.

as for the heckling, I dont understand how a comedian as good as dave chappelle couldn't roast hecklers into bolivia. the entire audience can't even hear them, and he's got a microphone.

that being said, he did an hour last night, and the shyt was funny as hell. Folks were in the aisle rolling. dude was killing it.

also flight of the conchords, which were co-headliners of the tour were fukking

and I think they performed for an hour. one of the longest hours I can remember. my wife, and cats next to us damn near fell asleep waiting for their set to end.

as for the show, pretty much everyone was good, but hannibal burress, chappelle, and jeff ross were the best.

Damn you got to see Hannibal too? I saw Dave in Atl in July and he was funny as hell. Did like 45 minutes of written material and 45 minutes of improv. People were shouting things out at him but he ignored them or addressed what they were saying. This one dude who was taking pictures was about to get escorted out by the police and dave stopped the police officer and said some shyt like "sir you cannot arrest this man, his girlfriend is bad as fuuuuuck, goooot DAMN"

yeah hannibal burress was there yesterday. I had seen him do standup on comedy central before, but last night he was funny as hell. he got a lot of love from the crowd since he's from the chi.

as for chappelle, no one last night was fukking with him. I dunno if it was cuz the crowd was cool or if they heard about the hartford shyt and didn't want him to walk out. I thought he was gonna just do like 30 minutes, but he did twice that, so I was happy.

Some of you posters are basic as fukk. Dave doesn't need to "handle" a heckler. He's bigger than any comedian you've linked to handling a heckler. They should be honored he went to that cac ass part of the country.

He needs to stay in a civilized part of the country like the bay and stop catering to these northeastern cacs

Why am i not surprised to see yall nikkas in here dikkriding for Chappelle. Dealing with hecklers is stand-up 101, it's damn near the 1st thing they have to learn to do...so no, he get's no pass from me. He basically pulled a diva move, like i'm Dave Chappelle and so i can actually stand here and not do my routine cuz i'm already legendary status. FOH...do you know how pissed i would have been if i was in that audience and had paid that money basically to see him and then get there and he does that shyt off a few hecklers?!?! It's unprofessional. Period.

I gotta believe he is either an extra sensitive ass nikka and the hecklers said something that really touched him up...really had him up there feeling a certain type of way. As someone else said and i gotta believe, there had to have been some type of security there so i don't know why he ain't either roast them fools and/or have them escorted out by security.
