In this special Chappelle really takes it "there". I loved it and found it both hilarious and refreshing. . . That said, even I can see how people would be offended by some of his jokes. . . But, "so what" is the real point I think he was trying to make with this special.

What do you guys think?

started watching it last nite, funny as hell...breh definitely was very "edgy" and deliberately pushing the envelope but the crowd was laughing the entire time! im sure as it gets more notoriety there will be a push to "boycott/cancel" from the usual crowds.... would've finished it but the headband kicked in and i was out...:smoker:

Remember one thing before commenting.
He did this in ATL!!!!!!!!!!

He went & spoke about gays in the lion's den.
He didn't do it in Alabama or Mississippi.
Safest place would prob be Austin texas.

I think it's an instant classic, but mainly because of the times we're in and all the sensitivity that surrounds speech from the perpetually offended.

This same special, even though edgy, wouldn't have the same controversy had it been done 10 years ago. . . Anyone disagree?

I watched day one and after I finished I texted my wife and told her to get ready for the stupid think pieces. I was right :mjlol:

I thought it was edgy for the sake of being edgy as I watched in real time. It’s refreshing to see someone double down on how they feel.

The special would be trash if all he set out to do was offend but he was hilarious. In my opinion it was a job well done.
