Dave seems like a genuinely good dude, which is rare to find in this industry nowadays, but he just doesn’t know how to make quality music. He suffers from an identity crisis, imo. 
I dont know homie personally but im happy that he made it because I used to always see him in Ravenswood and QB just being a regular dude in the hood . He kept grinding and got something out of it

Yes, I have, which is why I said he seems to suffer from an identity crisis, chasing an image at odds with who he is, abandoning the style he built a buzz on for the sound he’s presently latched on to.

East has a fan base lol. His tour already has some sold out dates. His album did its lil 24,000 sales in its first week. He was on a late night show on CBS performing the other night. He acting now I would say he doing aight for himself.except nobody is checking for Dave East period.

U not making no money putting out tapes online in fact you wasting money on studio time, paying for features/beats, and often paying to perform at places and wasting money to promote your music.
From 2010-2014 East was putting out tapes to no traction like the vast majority of aspiring rappers. Black Rose was his break out after that he got signed by Nas and started getting some money.

Nah, you're used to all these astroturfed nikkas with secret deals getting on. If you truly start from the bottom it takes 3-4 years before rappers start seeing some money. I don't know about not seeing a dollar off rap for 4 years, but being able to support yourself, definitely.except nobody is checking for Dave East period.
