That song with 50 was getting mad play that night tooI remember being slammed by Future, Fetty, Omarion and Rihanna that night, Troy Ave was never getting huge play like that ever maybe the occasional spin of All About The Money that's it.
It's his life what else can he rap about. His story is he's from Harlem/Queensbridge, he played ball collegiately in the DMV, dropped out of college, sold weed in Baltimore, got caught went to jail, came back home sold weed in NY then started rapping...
And u can't be serious about him never getting huge play, besides that night Troy Ave got maaaad play on NY radio, your style and that in da club remake was always on rotation then when all about the money came out it got even more play.. He didn't perform at 2 summer jams in a row based off of occasional spins
I didn't wanna say it, but..I honestly think Vado's better
But yeah the Nas cosign did help. And his Black Rose project was great too
It's a shame Vado made dumbass career moves like disrespecting Cam over the phone and signing to Khaled over Drake
now Dave East about to occupy that whole lane Vado left open rapping about the same exact shyt the same way too.. I wonder if he has the hit making ability tho.. Vado gave us Hey Muma, Speakin Tungs, and We All Up In Here(all was certified club bangers).. Dropped the ball on Louis V Bag tho
