It's a great callback to episode 9 of last season. The song he was making before the fallout with Ally. Them talking back and forth and him saying he would make it an interlude. If he adds the intro they made to that song. That would be a hit for sure.... For those who don't remember
Thats one thing annoying about Artists, they overthink everything. If he would have played that song for the execs at the label, he'd probably still be staying in that fly ass crib

Beautiful episode because of how raw it was. Great writing to get the backstory of Dave’s parents involved.
Really glad both his parents had to put him in his place, and seemed like shyt finally hit home. You’d think Dave was turning the corner when that happened, but the spoiled narcissist in him couldn’t help it when he didn’t get the response he wanted from Ally.
Looks like Dave is gonna bump into a Rick Rubin type of guy next episode.
