Episode 5 just hits different, wow. Someone needs to give the homie Gata an Emmy nod. If you were feeling so-so about this show, just wait until you watch this one. If you're still not feeling it after this one then I don't know what to tell you. :hubie:

What I'm really impressed with here is the show's ability to tackle the mental illness topic full-on and not shying away. The crew's response after his confession felt very real and made me choke up a bit. This ain't your ordinary show, folks.

I’m really wondering if gata is actually bipolar. Those emotions felt so fukking real. I honestly did get choked up a little
He is, according to a New York Times article titled
Lil dikky the Rapper Makes Way for Dave the TV Star

GaTa’s character also allows the show a chance to change its tone with an episode about his real-life struggles with bipolar disorder. “It was tough to dig into those thoughts emotionally but I want to help other people in my situation,” GaTa said.

Burd knew the switch in tones was risky but ambition is central to his vision of himself. “It’s a big swing and if you miss it looks terrible, but if you connect it adds so much more depth to the show,” he said. “This can change people’s lives.”

Last night's episode is currently sitting at a 9.4 on IMDB.
