The situation seems more like Earl wants nothing to do with WWE than vice versa. In interviews he’s said that the company has tried to bring him back over the years, but he would never do business with the WWE again.

According to Earl, when the WWE reached out to him about getting inducted in the HOF, he told them to shove the HOF up Vince’s ass.
