I'd like to know what HL's Libertarian contingent thinks of this 
I'm not thrilled to see sports politicized(which I blame Trump for), 
but all peaceful protest is fine by me.
As for Rubin's take, I agree with his assessment:

i see you playing devil's advocate and respect that.
i agree that he is not breaking a law but he is breaking the spirit of what it means to be the president of the united states of america.
the tone he sets is detrimental to the idea of america.
can he say what he says? yes.
will what he says have effects? yes.
can we all respond to what he says? yes
but when it is all said and done, i hope america steps back and takes a good long look at it's self.
especially americans who voted for trump.
i love america and that is why i am critical of it what it is fukking up.
america is going through a humongous fukk up right now and it needs to be addressed.
hopefully america's immune system will be able to remove this infection and recognize it in the future.

as for the people that voted in trump, this is the reason. had hillary won the election they believed this 'unpatriotic' anti-america sentiment would have continued to go unchecked.
