TSC caught tryna rewrite history again :mjlol:.
HBGOAT kept WWF from going under without him you wouldn't even have a forum to slander the gawd in

If Stone Cold didn't take the spotlight from him, WCW would have won. :mjlol:

Oh and Cena > Michaels in terms of drawing power. That's a fact. :umad: Cena vs Miz as a Wrestlemania main event put up similar numbers compared to Cena vs Michaels.

And the most successful Wrestlemania was

Kliq stays losing. :banderas:

So the shytty roster and out dated concepts was the champs fault too? Ok. Imo the champ doesn't have that much pull in the tv era, maybe in the 70's. I'm not watching I 2-3 show just for one person.

Or is this a running tsc joke I'm not in on?

Bret put over Austin and the Stone Cold character heavy. Saved WWF at the time. They were going under with Shawn as the top face but Bret did good on his way out and made sure Austin received that push. HitGOAT saved the business.

:mjcry:

Bret looked out for The Rock as well. Protected him from Kliq bullshyt. :salute:

Last real legend alive, it's official :wow:

HBK wasn't a TV ratings draw, but it doesn't matter. He's still top 5. As far as the roster goes, that's all Vince's fault. Besides HBK, Harts, Bam Bam, Razor, and Taker, was there anyone worth a shyt in 95? Assuming that's the year the question was based on.

when shawn got the belt in '96, house attendance was up every month compared to the year prior

men lie, women lie, numbers don't

Also the raw ratings were way up after HBK won the belt. Vince even said so himself in 97 that the WWF made more money while HBK was champ and Bret was gone then it did when Bret was champ

that's my point the roster was so bad it didn't matter who was the champ, tv ratings is based on how good the whole show is, the champ should only be responsible for merch sales.. I know for me I thought HBK was a diamond in the rough during a terrible era, I didn't tune out cause of him it was cause of doink the clown and duke the dumster, stupid shyt like the repo man were why the ratings were terrible..

An you got to remember ALL the top stars from the 80's just left, people weren't interested in the rebuilding stages, HBK was like A great QB on a bad team

In defense of HBK, Nash, and Bret, 94-mid/late 96 was a bad time for wrestling period. The steroid trial/ sex abuse scandals really put a damper on wrestling in general, the WWF in particular. The NWO not only elevated WCW but in a way kind of saved wrestling. Of course Austin and the attitude era took wrestling into the stratosphere but the NWO angle in WCW gave wrestling the kick it needed.

Ratings went up for a month after he got the belt and then went down to scary low numbers while he was still champ.

WWE Monday Night Raw Television Ratings | 2xzone.com

Ratings went way up after he won the title and HBK had nobody to work with like Bret did. Nash, Hall and Bret were all gone when he was champ so his numbers were really good considering the roster at the time he was champ.

Without shawn around to headline all those shows pre austin who knows how bad of condition the WWF would have been in

I wonder if all the people that is defending Shawn about the ratings used the same arguments when TSC clowned every champ that drew poor ratings in the last 10 years :patrice: :patrice: :patrice:

I think it had more to do with WCW running the Outsiders angle in late May and then starting the NWO. The WWF didn't have shyt to counter that at the time.
