Owens has been champ for two days. Let's hold off on that until he gets his feet wet in the role.

So what, there wasn't a areal build up to him even being a championship level guy IMHO.
It isn't like EC3 maybe winning against Lashley.
It isn't like Mantaza, Mil, or Puma being champ in LU, its just he now holds the belt.

No championship build up or aura around him.

No matter who they would've chosen it would've got a negative reaction from someone. Cass wasn't ready, they're shoving Roman down our throats, Owens doesn't have the look, Seth had his chance.

This defines the hard part about being a wrestler, cause this thinking isn't limited to Russo/Owens.

It doesn't matter how good you are, how over you are, how liked you are in the back, if the *wrong* person doesn't see value in you (rational or not), then there's nothing you can do. Russo has been on this kick for a while with Owens, you can tell that nothing will ever change his mind.

But Vince, HHH, Jim Ross, Cornette, etc... are all guilty of it too and they all have people who just don't jive with them.

Don't hit me with this shyt about Arquette or Tank Abbott either, so what, some bad booking doesn't completely invalidate his opinion. This also the same dude who booked the motherfukkin Attitude Era. Rock/Austin/DX/Mankind, etc.

I skimmed through it, don't care for podcasts much. I enjoyed the match, especially the finish. But basically what Russo is saying is that they were force to give it to Owens because no one else could be champ due to circumstances. He's right. And Owens is a great worker and funny heel, but he's not a Champion at that level material right now. But I'll see how it goes.

I think Cass and Enzo should be fired or some shyt if they never improved in NXT. They are just green, but crowd likes the mic work and style. There were good tag teams already on roster, most of those NXt tag teams aint much to watch imo.
