To be fair, the type of production being pushed nowadays doesn't really leave much room for elaborate spoken word, or lyrical content.

It's getting worse and I'm surprised none of these new rappers who could
wash him on a track haven't checked him.

I mean really, is Kendrick "mumbling" ? Is Lupe "mumbling" ? Is J. Cole "mumbling" ?
There are so many rappers that are BLACK and relatively YOUNG that'd eat Banners
