The good job Blatt did in the finals is getting overshadowed by the fact that he didn't play Mozgov in game 5.

- Using his defensive gameplan, the Cavs ended up with the best defense in the playoffs, and they were supposed to be a mediocre defensive team at best.

- His philosophy on guarding Steph worked for awhile and took Steph out of his game.

- The way the Cavs played the PnR and defended the 3 point line took Klay out of the series.

- Bogut was negated on offense, whom in the regular season was a critical piece to their ball movement.

I think this guy should get more credit for the job he did. :yeshrug:

That wasn't coaching though. Bogut actually doesn't do much on offense, and he was incapable of defending TT or Lebron at the rim. Warriors fans knew Bogut would be useless against the Cavs before the series began.

Part of coaching is getting players to buy in. Lebron did not buy into BLatt's offense. That needs to change next year.

He's a big part of their pick and roll offense because he's a good passing big and he does big to big passes which is usually huge

Green and Lee pass to each other as well. That aspect of bogut's game is not that necessary to the warriors. His defensive presence is important and against the cavs, he was obviously going to be less useful. Warriors best offensive lineup is small.

I think Blatt should have mixed it up more by going big, small, big etc. When they really need to stop the bleeding, why not put Mozgov back in and use his size. A 15-4 Warrior run is better than a 15-0 Warrior run. :yeshrug:

I think he did the best he could with a severe handicap. What can you do? Sometimes you just have a losing hand. Once Kerr threw Bogut in the bushes the Cavs didn't win another game
