I think we should be appalled by the unnecessary loss of black life regardless of the circumstance. Abortion, black on black crime, and police brutality are all facets of white supremacy but require different solutions. You cannot fight black on black crime and abortion using the same methods you'd use to combat police brutality. Those are problems that we will have to address within ourselves, which many of us aren't ready for. If there is one thing that all 3 of these facets of black American existence have in common, is that it points to the lack of value we have within ourselves and the lack of value society has for black life in general.
Lets be honest folks, If we truly valued black life as a people we'd be just a vigilant about combating abortions and black on black crime as we do police brutality. And if were going to combat these things, then are going to have to start questioning liberal policies and agendas. We're going to have to start questioning and ABSOLUTELY rejecting some of the negative elements that have become indicative of our culture.
In regards to David Carrol, I have been listening to dude for years. I completely disagree with how he expresses his viewpoints and opinions. I've seen him refer to his own kind as "monkeys", "apes" and many other disturbing terms you'd imagine a white racist would say about blacks. Despite all of this, I think his arguments are legit. He provides a perspective that many of us aren't accustomed to hearing, especially from a black man. We do need to get our shyt in order solely for the sake of our own future existence. We cannot continue to progress as a people if we continue to partake in our own degradation and exploitation. From aborting our young to celebrating black male genocide (i.e. corporate Rap music), we have to stomp out these elements with an iron fist. And this is precisely what many black conservatives such as David Carrol argue. And there is nothing inherently wrong with this. The problem that many have with black conservatives is that many tend to come off as boot lickers and are disingenuous when it comes to addressing black issues, thus causing a great divide.
