Wall played horribly lazy defense last night and didn't attack the rim against Jose Calderon. Besides Wall's jumper, I fear for his consistency in giving maximum effort night in and night out. I feel like he goes into lapses like last night where he looks disinterested and gives up. I question his competitiveness with regards to his peers.
But there's no denying his talent and his improvements this year. He has a much better sense of pace, he isn't just going 100 mph, he's using his speed as a threat, and his defense on the ball is great and his help defense very good.
Wall is a valuable player despite his flaws. He is still very young and would be graduating college this year.

fair enough, I've come to the point where I don't expect him to be the franchise player people rate him as but instead as a good piece on a contender. I'm not going to lie though, that stretch at the very beginning of his rookie season where he was putting up insane numbers had me thinking
he really could be transcedent. our star is going to have to be a wing player who you can get the ball to and get out of the way... or an elite PF... but obviously those don't grow on trees

hes not what hes hyped up to be but hes not as bad as dudes making him out to be

more like management and coaching need to get out of there. Its clear it isn't the players, but the management of the team that keeps the franchise down and Leonsis needs to wake up. He bought the team and won the lottery to get Wall, he needs to spearhead things into hiring a new GM.Wall will be fine and this franchise can't stay shiddy forever. Besides, he will be a RFA next summer and the Wiz can match.
