Watched a little bit more last night to see if it would get better and got to the half way point. This shyt is 
It literally turned into some rambling political right vs left shyt and nothing about the insight in the making of Citizen Kane
Even the b&w cinematography looks washed, filtered, and weird asf. Fincher & Netflix dropped the ball on this one. Could've had Mindhunters season 3 in the bag instead of wasting time on this shyt

Citizen Kane is one of the best films ever made, breh.Man I tried to watch CK last night so I could understand this movie but CK was boring af and couldn't hold my attention
I think they really fukked up making this shyt
I pick up something new every time I watch it, it is genuinely a masterclass of storytelling in film.

This is the worst Fincher film I've seen. It's kinda breathtaking is how boring it is.
It would’ve been hard for me not to like this based on everything it had going for it.A movie about writing, movie making, and politics. Really enjoyed it and loved the little touches that made it feel like it was a movie of that era. Sound design isn’t something I talk about with movies but it stands out here.
dialogue was quick, everyone did their thing acting wise, and it just worked for me. Not sure I’d put it high on my Finches list but it’s probably somewhere in the middle. Which isn’t bad for him. Movie manages to say a lot about politics then that’s still sadly true today, at least in America, and shows how we’re still fighting that same fight. And also a nice portrait of a guy at his end taking aim at a target and realizing more about himself in the process. Dope flick

You can tell this was more of a project he did as a passion project seeing his father wrote the screenplay. Finches is my fav director and I actually like Citizen Kane, but this movie just unnecessarily rambles on
