However, anything from an unnamed source always has to be taken with a grain of salt, and there are plenty of logistical hurdles before season 3 could be seriously considered.

Even if you assume the Small Screen report is correct, these discussions are early, which means that they could end up going nowhere. Talks happen all the time without necessarily leading to any content being made; one such example is dikk Wolf and NBC talking about the Law & Order: Hate Crimes spinoff, which has been in development since 2018 yet never actually turned up.

Show is way too good to only be 2 seasons. Doesn't get nearly the publicity it deserves. Especially in an era where everyone in in love with podcasts and documentaries on murders and serial killers.
