There was widespread drug testing in 2003, as a way of seeing how pervasive use was....and the results were supposed to remain sealed/secret. Sosa's name was leaked first if I recall correctly, then the bombshell was Selena Roberts' report that ARod was among those that tested positive. This lead to the press conference and all the shyt about his cousin and "boli" and whatever.
A few years later Ortiz and Manny were linked to those same 2003 tests.
