They should’ve picked Shaq as the face of college ball over the guy that won player of the year and led Duke to back to back championships?

The 92 tournament was the same year this happened.

The 92 championship game between Duke/Michigan has the 3rd highest ratings since 1975, behind the Bird/Magic 79 finals and 85 Georgetown/Villanova.

Laettner wasn't even the best player on Duke. That was Grant Hill. Shaq was on a shytty LSU squad and was still a dominate player. Shaq overall was the better prospect.

It''s crazy how many new stans of old players are popping up due to this documentary...

My wife isn't from the US...we was watching this and she was like "Dennis Rodman played basketball" :gladbron:...

I was like "what :gucci:"

Then I remembered she didn't grow up in the states...grew up in a village...my wife has virtually no conception of america before 2011...so she only knew dennis rodman as the dude who went to north korea and "Michael Jordan teammate"...

Now she all :noah: over Dennis Rodman...

"Did you know he was this good at rebounding":noah:

"Yep:unimpressed:"

"Did you know he was that good at defense":noah:

"Yep":unimpressed:

We were downstairs earlier and she was literally just watching 240p clips of dennis rodman :mjlol:

Not that I ever expect it to happen, but if we ever meet dennis rodman in real life my marriage is surely over cause my wife is surely going to bust it open for him and i am pretty sure rodman is going to be down to be busted open upon....

It’s over and done with we all know Isiah should of been on that team and that laetner shouldn’t of been...just politics,
Shaq*

Seems like Isiah was a fukking a$$hole and they kept him off for chemistry problems. Also seems like people not from Michigan, who were around during this time period all agree. Case closed.

Course Admiral wouldn't have wanted Shaq on the team, due to the vicious sonnings he'd have given him

as long as they all admit his snub had nothing to do with his actual talent, it's fine. it's corny though. I thought players back then were tougher than that:patrice:
Why's it corny? Have you played team sports?

Yea but playing with someone who nutted in a 12 year old was fine for them, these nikkas were emotional b
So how should they have responded in 1992 to some shyt that wasn't known until 1998:unimpressed:

Laettner wasn't even the best player on Duke. That was Grant Hill. Shaq was on a shytty LSU squad and was still a dominate player. Shaq overall was the better prospect.
:beli:

Laettner won player of the year his senior year and was a junior/senior averaging 20+ on the two championship squads while Grant was a fresh/soph putting up 11 and 14ppg.

It wasn't about picking the better prospect.

Christian was the face of a team that repeated as champions while Shaq's team was knocked out in the 2nd round.

I recall everything during this time frame and when I look at that original roster to me the real issue was them forcing Magic onto the team...Magic is a goat I’m not saying he’s not...But that was literally a spot for Isiah...And IT was always known as an a$$hole...But so was Karl Malone :russ:...Yes I do in hindsight think IT should have been on the team but the only player I’m willing to say didn’t deserve it is Mullin and Magic.

Laettner for as much as I wanted Shaq on the team was the player of the year and the face of college basketball...And actually damn good. So I can’t knock him either.

I think most people know that IT was left off of the team even though he did deserve to be on it.
