Couple of things:
1. Zero chance Deion comes here.
2. Shaw did an admirable job after harbaugh dipped but it was time. I wanted him to coach the Chargers.
3. I don't know that it's possible to win at Stanford anymore.
4. Likely won't have a football team within the next 10 years like someone mentioned.

There's no reason Cal shouldn't be like Michigan on the West Coast tbh. All the issues they have with athletics are internal -- Berkeley NIMBY's not withstanding.

Me and my friends talk about this all of the time. Cal is in the bay area, which should be full of NIL opportunities, in one of the most high school football rich states in the country.
The fact that we don't have a top 20 recruiting class every year is a damn shame. Coach Prime would have us in the top 15 at worst every year.

He didn’t build a damn thing. JSU already had success, tradition & the highest attendance numbers in the FCS for damn near a decade and a half.

Only thing Deion has done is brought in FBS players off bat instead of having them transfer like they traditionally do. JSU already had a solid base WAY before deion. He’s brought national attention to them, but it’s a damn shame that’s what it took for other black folks to pay attention to HBCUs smh.
College Gameday went to Jackson this year, but they’ve hosted from HBCUs years before this season. Jackson and the SWAC led the FCS in attendance this season but that’s been going on since the early 2000s..he’s won the SWAC but JSU has won the SWAC plenty of times.
When he leaves Jackson they’ll still be the same. He didn’t built them from mud. They’ve had a solid foundation in place since Walter Payton played there.

The funny thing is, Cal actually was building towards consistent success with Redford (Aaron Rodgers, Lynch, Forsett, etc). But it didn't last long. Pity.

NIL and transfer portal changed the game. Shaw did recently get approved on both a couple weeks ago but still retired.
Stress isn't worth it he's only 50 can go work as an analyst for q few years and then com back
