Agreed with the sentiment but he could have done it differently. No need to actually say the word. And the doubling down in subsequent tweets is tone deaf if nothing else.
I'm not really offended tbh but I can understand why others would be. That said, for a lot of twitter folk this is more about having a new piece of outrage meat to sink their teeth into for a few days than anything else, they don't actually care about this at all.

I feel like that sentence should have a comma and a question mark as it doesn't properly express the incredulity he meant to express and instead makes it seem like he's cool with Sean Hannity. This is like when D'Angelo said "Money be green" because despite using local Baltimoreans as reference most of the writers on The Wire were white and thus had no real base of knowledge on the various dialects and regional affectations of AAVE. Also fukk David Simon for trying to make people feel sympathetic for a police department using illegal wire taps.
You're entitled to feel that way. David Simon was also a cop in Baltimore. And while the wire did portray the streets in an accurate way, it didn't even scratch the surface of how the police really are in that city.
