Well Duncan was a shell no lie....I cant say I remember too much of Diaw's play in that series....which probably means he was indeed a non factor

To be honest I cant see him being much use to the Warriors in the playoffs except soaking up some minutes to give their bigs a bit of a breather

That's pretty much all he needs to do unless Green gets injured. In which case they're screwed

West is only going to play about 15 minutes per game, but in that time he'll provide the passing, screen setting, knock down shooting and communication the Warriors value from their big men. He's even a good post up scorer - something they didn't have last year.

I don't see how he helps this team...they needed to replace bogut with a player like bogut and david west is not that player...

Also if he could just make open 12 to 15 foot jumpshots against okc he never gets that call from the warriors cause the spurs beat the thunder if that is the case...

In his defense he played out of position most of the year...and played with "i don't give a fukk" boris so...no favors were done for him...

At any rate I was when he left cause I was so worried the spurs were going to "do right by him" and give him a 2 or 3 year deal just for playing for the minimum that year...

Uh yes he does. West is an elite mid range shooter, one of the better passers at the position, sets good screens, has a good post up game and is a tremendous teammate. This is a guy who goes to war for his guys and asserts himself as a leader in the lockeroom. Let someone try to fukk with Curry or Durant.

The Warriors do need more rim protection, but that doesn't mean he won't be very valuable for them. He should be more reliable than Festus actually.

How many shots is he gonna block? Is he gonna make LeBron or Kyrie think twice about going to the basket? If he's on the floor offensively do the Cavs even need to hide Kevin Love? How is he gonna stop Tristan Thompson from bullying him for rebounds in the paint? THESE are the questions Warriors fans need to be asking, because that's the only series that matters and the inevitable one.

I'm not even saying West is a bad player or terrible, or that they shouldn't have signed him. I'm saying having optimism because you signed David West is laughable.

Apparently every player that the Warriors shipped out has been replaced by someone better.......in their mind no weaknesses exist

I dont even know how a comparison is made between Speights and David West....their skillsets are not the same thing

David West wont even see the floor against good competition....

And they foolishly assume that the league never catches up defensively.....they think its as simple as if you double one player two others will be wide open.

And even more amusingly....Golden State took a lot of bad shots last year.....and they went in.........until they didnt. And that bit them in the ass.

Believe it or not....there are great defensive assistants in the nba who have all sorts of wrinkles to throw at you....And there is one very good defensive coach who leads a team who have JUST the personnel to battle them.....and they reside in the east.
